Zoological Center Ramat Gan zamelt een fantastisch bedrag in voor het onderzoek naar EEHV

Het onderzoek naar EEHV heeft een grote impact op olifanten, wereldwijd. Zoological Center Ramat Gan is een dierentuin in Israel waarvan we een fantastische donatie hebben mogen ontvangen. De donatie is ingezameld samen met de bezoekers van het dierenpark, tijdens een feestdag waarbij ze een actie zijn gestart voor dit project.

‘In the state of Israel, every time we have an election it is a national holiday here and the Zoo likes to take part in it. Over the years every time there is an election, the Zoo will have a mini election, voted by the public to choose their favorite animal.

 
This year's election we decided to do something different. Instead of the public just voting for their favorite animal we wanted them to get even more involved and that's where we came up with the idea that a percentage of the entrance fees that came in that day would go to the winning animals foundation.

 
We chose 6 species, each with an amazing foundation connected to them and each department represented one, just like a political election, the teams went round campaigning for their chosen species and foundations and explaining to the public how their vote can benefit their chosen animal.’
